One month to go until Tisbury Carnival 2024! Our theme this year is Under the Sea!
On September 21st our high street will be closed (2pm-9pm) to allow for a marvellous and exciting day of entertainment and fun. We have some fantastic acts booked but we would love to get as many from the village involved as possible!
If you would like to be involved in the Carnival parade, find the entry forms. Or, do pop down to the Post Office where you can pick up and drop off your entry form. There are various categories for both individuals and groups, and winners from each category will receive prize money and a trophy! You don’t need to submit a form ahead of the day; you can find us on the day itself to enter and take part!
There won’t be as much waiting around time this year; we ask entrants to arrive at the Elizabeth Hall by 4 o’clock on the day for judging and preparing for the parade.
On the day itself we will have lots going on: From 3-5pm there will be entertainment, bands, street food and performances on the High Street; from 5-6pm will be the procession, and from 6-9pm the music will continue with a fire show and lots of food!
We can expect to see some of the great things we saw at last year’s carnival such as: YOU! in the procession, roaming dinosaurs, stilt walkers, samba drumming, street performers, fire show, Live music AND MUCH MORE!
We are also really happy that the FUN FAIR is going to be back for our carnival in 2024 – over the course of Carnival Week in the field next to the South Western!
