Carnival Week 2026
14th - 19th September
Theme: Bugs and Beasties
Our theme this year is Bugs and Beasties. We are looking for a design that celebrates the incredible diversity of our tiny (and sometimes not-so-tiny) neighbours — from shimmering dragonflies to determined dung beetles — each playing a vital role in our world. Let us have combined vibrant colours, playful illustrations and educational elements to spark curiosity in viewers of all ages.
The poster’s aim is not only to capture the carnival’s joyful spirit but also to inspire appreciation for the fascinating creatures that often go unnoticed. By blending art with science, it is your opportunity to encourage people to look closer, learn more and protect the habitats that these bugs and beasties call home.
Eoghan Townsend from St. John’s Primary was last year’s winner. We were thrilled with all the entries and so very proud to have this beautiful picture as our Tisbury Carnival poster for 2025. This year we have invited all schools in and around Tisbury to enter a float for our parade and will also be asking them all to participate in our ‘Poster Competition’.
Please can schools collect pupil’s entries and contact us for collection by the 1stJune, as we would like to announce the winners at The Tisbury Fete on Saturday 13th June.
